Today, Whaea Stacey started the lesson off with showing us a cute video of a pig rescuing a goat, we all thought this was pretty cute and it made us feel all warm and fuzzy. THEN she showed us another video which showed how this video was all set up and fake!
We discussed again that not everything we see online, or on TV (or the movies) are real and just how easily things can be faked.
We looked at 3 different pictures and what we thought was fake with each one or how people could fake these images using remove.bg or photoshop. The pictures were all very convincing!
After that it was time to create! We created our own magazine covers with fake images and fake titles and headlines. We could make our magazine about something that interested us.
They’re on our individual blogs, but you can also check some of them out here:
Hello, we are Room 15 at Pt England School in Auckland. Your blog post is interesting because it teaches us about what is real and what is fake online. From your designs we can tell your students like soccer. We can also tell they play games online and have Vbucks.
We hope to see you commenting on our blog soon.
From your friends at Room 15 Pt England School.
